The Players (L-R); D. Van Dieman, John Crane, David Fredericks, Bill Hendrickson, Mark Karan

SECRETS   was formed in 1983 by Duane, John Crane and David Fredericks as a vocal group with a sound described as "80´s POP meets the Hollies". They honed their sound in the studio with an array of great musicians, including drummers Bill Gibson (Huey Lewis & The News,) Dave Perper (Pablo Cruz), and Billy Lewis (Maria Muldaur, Jessie Colin Young), as well as keyboardist Nate Ginsburg (Herby Hancock) and sax man Johnny Colla (Huey & The News). After the addition of Mark Karan (recently of "The Other Ones") on lead guitar and Bill Hendrickson on drums, they played both large and small venues around the Bay Area culminating with a slick, well produced EP in 1985. Legendary ´Huey & The News´ engineer Jim Gaines and ´News´ member and co-producer Johnny Colla lent their talents to the production. This album may be available again, so stay tuned to this website for future updates. In the meantime here´s a few free downloads
